She fits on my forearm Like a small slim football Her tiny feet and hands poking out from her sleeper Like those of a visitor from Lilliput. Tiny slits of eyes occasionally emerge from sleep, seemingly to monitor my presence Although she’s likely entirely oblivious to me Since I am not her mother. She weighed in at less than seven pounds last time they checked But bundled within her minuscule frame is the potential to shake mountains, unseat potentates or travel to the stars.
