IMHO, I would use a different adjective re the grandchildren ~ terrific, darling, wonderful, marvelous ~ "great" is, at first glance, misunderstood. That being said, I look forward to peeking into your mind from time to time. Best!
Hey Chris, I'm a bit older and consider similar issues. I have identified, in broad terms, what's important to me but still struggle with how much to give those areas. Photography, for example, is a lifelong love but the FB groups I subscribe to all seem to be about spending a bunch of $$$ on equipment. I have the equipment I am comfortable with but I want to learn how to use it better without that being the only thing I do! I am beginning to think there is no room anymore for casual interest.
Hi Margaret. I know what you mean. I love the concept of dabbling. It’s probably superficial but I don’t tend to have obsessive hobbies. As for photography, I never use anything but my iPhone, which works for what I like to do, which is walking, wandering and photographing random things that catch my interest.

Perhaps I’ll revise.

Still pondering. Still searching. Still loving. Still reading. Still fascinated by politics.
Not still working. Not still resentful of what is not mine. Not still wondering about "the road not taken."
Looking forward to your musings, as always, Chris!
Bravo! I will look forward to peeking inside your head.
Let the games begin! 💕
